The Tale of Two Storeys

Fri 4th December - Fri 11th December
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

‘The Tale of Two Storeys’ is the warm, quirky and flat-out hilarious new children’s play from Ashleigh Dorrell. A fairytale for the modern world, ‘The Tale of Two Storeys’ tells the story of Dawn and Joe, a lonely girl and boy who live in the same apartment building, but who have never met.

Dawn lives upstairs, and Joe lives directly below her. He loves plane-spotting and she is a taxidermist. They are the perfect match. They are destined to be together. The just don’t know the other exists.

Though they may not realise it, their fates are intertwined, and these two total strangers will soon change each other’s life for the better.

‘The Tale of Two Storeys’ is a story of fate, conquering fear, adventure and following your dreams; a witty, wacky tale which contains uplifting messages about the importance of friendship, community and self-belief.

With a wonderful supporting cast of characters, including Mr Moley (who moves very slowly), Mrs. Wick (who is very quick) and the singing twins, Jemima and Cornelia Doh, who torment poor Mrs. Wyatt (who loves peace and quiet), ‘The Tale of Two Storeys’ is full of rhyming, lyrical and clever dialogue, which is sure to keep children of all ages entertained.

This exciting new children’s play, bursting at the seams with music and fun, is directed by Ian Toner and stars Ashleigh Dorrell, Lawrence Falconer, Kieran Roche, and Irish Times Theatre Award-winner Kate Gilmore.

‘The Tale of Two Storeys’ runs at Townhall Cavan Arts Space on Friday, 4th December, Saturday, 5th December and Friday, 11th December at 7.30pm, with additional 3pm matinees on Saturday, 5th December and Sunday, 6th December. Additional midweek school shows will take place from 7th – 1th December.
